Austin Robotics is the public community for robotics, physical AI, and hardware in Austin, Texas. We connect engineers, founders, researchers, students, and operators who build intelligent machines — humanoids, autonomous vehicles, industrial robots, aerial systems, and the tooling around them.
This website is the public operating system of that community: a place to meet in person, find Texas companies and roles, and follow what Texas-HQ teams and Texas university labs are shipping. We are based in Austin. We are not a venture fund, a staffing agency, or a company's careers site.
What we do
- Host monthly in-person meetups, typically at HICAM (6201 Quinn Luke Trail, Austin, TX 78724), a 52,000 square-foot advanced manufacturing campus. HICAM is our usual venue and a sponsor; it is not Austin Robotics headquarters.
- Maintain a directory of Texas robotics, AI, and hardware companies, including published Texas streets when we have them.
- Curate Texas robotics jobs and news. Applications happen on each employer's own site.
- Publish the Texas Robotics Brief and host talks on YouTube.

What we are not
Austin Robotics is not a complete cap-table or funding database, and it is not a substitute for a company's own documentation. Directory listings are curated community records, not paid placements unless we say otherwise. Job applications happen on each employer's ATS.
Who organizes it
Public meetup organizers include Florin Matei, Anthony Costello, and Nihal Soans. For partnerships, directory corrections, speaking, or press, use the contact page — do not treat a meetup venue as a walk-in office.
